About

Hi, I'm Mona! I am a freelance visual designer, storyteller, and biomedical communication specialist.

I believe that great visuals tell great stories - stories that help people learn faster and better. Visual stories can democratize complex science and health information.

In 2019, I graduated from the Master of Science in Biomedical Communications program at the University of Toronto (one of five accredited medical illustration programs). Since then, I've worked as a multidisciplinary designer for in-house teams in the healthcare industry.

I'm a Professional Member of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI). I currently serve on the AMI's Diversity Committee as Vice-Chair and previously on the Biomedical Communications Alumni Association exec team.
